Whether you are new to blogging or have been posting for a while, making money with your blog is definitely something you’ll want to put into motion now!

While blogging is fun and a general pastime for many, it is also a step to building an online business empire.

For bloggers, there are many ways to monetize your blogging efforts.

Here are 5 ways to get started:

• Become an affiliate for someone and sell their product on your blog.  This is widely called affiliate marketing and it is one of the top ways to make money with your blog.  Becoming an affiliate and selling someone’s product can be as simple as writing a blog post about the product (after using it of course) and sharing your insights.  The best marketing strategy with affiliate marketing – and what will earn you the most money – is to position the product as something that is useful to your readers.  If you have a blog on how to get pregnant, then marketing a book that will help them get pregnant would be very helpful to your readers.

• Add CPA to your blog.  CPA stands for Cost Per Action.  Very simply, you can put something in your sidebar or write a post about information on insurance.  When your readers fill out that form for more information – there is your profit!

• Adsense – Adsense has been around a long time and most bloggers I see have it on their blogs.  You can earn money through Adsense every time someone clicks on one of their ads.  Usually you put Adsense in your sidebar or below your posts or even in your posts.

• Sell your own adspace.  You can make very easy money simply by letting an advertiser or two, or three come in and display their button on your blog.  This works very well in your favor as you do not have anything to do but send them a bill.  They are depending that your blog gets enough traffic that they will get exposure and clicks.

• Market your own product.  What?!  Your own product?  Yes, your own product!  Every single blogger out there has something unique to offer the world – If you create your own product and market it on your blog, you will reap the benefits hundreds of times over than all these other methods combined!  Your product is your very own – why not use the traffic you get and offer your readers something that they would benefit them that is personally created by you?  More on this to come…

A word of caution – don’t use them ALL at once – you don’t want your blog to look like an ad banner.

But definitely take a couple and start implementing them.  Your blog is something you take pride in, composing blog posts and managing comments – you should be profitable as well!
