As evening signals the end of another wonderful day, it’s time to reveal tip #9 for driving traffic to your blog or website.
You may have heard the expression ‘guest blogger’ before. Today’s focus is on guest blogging. Guest blogging to the extreme you may call it.
I’m talking about writing a blog post for someone else’s blog. And not just once and move on. Think at least once per week, even twice if you can do it. If you commit to guest blogging twice per week, you will have more new readers and more traffic coming to your blog than you know what to do with!
Seriously!
I used to do quite a bit of guest blogging in the past. Then I slacked off as I got busier with other projects.
I certainly paid the price for slacking off! Guest blogging on a regular basis used to easily double the normal amount of traffic coming to my blog – yes, double!
And that’s just the traffic portion of why it’s beneficial to be a guest blogger.
Here are a few other rewards:

- Increased Exposure to Social Media
- Networking Power – think possible JV’s!
- Boosts your Brand & Reputation (authority by association)
- Increased Exposure in the Search Engines
Guest blogging pays off in so many ways, but one I want to star, highlight or mark in flashing lights is the relationship aspect of it.
Just think of all the connections to be made just by writing an article for someone else’s blog. You may develop a blogging network where you can write for each other. Maybe you can partner up on a project or even promote each other’s blogs.
We are in a relationship business – blogging is all about people and what we talk about, where we talk about it and helping each other grow.
I am recommending guest blogging as a traffic tip to you as a way to also make a commitment to myself to get back to guest blogging.
People are the cornerstone of every business – online or offline!
